When our founder, Katie, embarked on this journey, she had a clear vision in mind. It was a time before the COVID-19 pandemic and the widespread adoption of flexible working conditions. With a husband who worked shift working hours, a two-year-old child, and another on the way, the constraints of a traditional, office-based job simply wouldn’t fit her family’s needs.
In this unique moment, a virtual bookkeeping practice was born. It was new and unheard of, a pioneering approach to financial management that broke free from the conventional mould. The Vault Bookkeeping, even to this date, remains committed to pushing boundaries beyond the norm. Our philosophy “Beautiful Business, Virtually Anywhere,” continues to be the guiding principle that defines us.
Katie brought a wealth of financial expertise to the table, with a background spanning banking, lending, insurance, and superannuation. Her experience extended beyond finance, encompassing training and assessment, as well as contract management within the mining industry. It was a natural choice for Katie to leverage her knowledge and passion to help and teach others.

In 2018, Katie launched The Vault Bookkeeping. Her extensive background spans various domains, including Banking & Lending, Superannuation & Training, Marketing, and Sales.
Katie’s true passion lies in collaborating with SMEs to streamline their business operations, enabling them to focus on their core strengths.
Beyond work, she enjoys quality time with her husband, two adorable daughters, and their two dachshunds Theodore & Millie. They’re avid travellers and love exploring Australia’s beauty in their caravan.
BAS Agent | Admin Pro
Racheal joined the team in 2020 after several years working in accounts management within the building
industry.
Previously had her own bookkeeping business supporting locals in the beautiful Dungog region.
In her spare time, she loves being with her family, including two lively grandsons and the grandsnag Trax (dachshund), kayaking, and sewing.
Bookkeeper
Katrina, who joined the team in September 2023. With her extensive experience in trade business bookkeeping and a passion for streamlining processes, she’s working towards her BAS agent registration and is a valuable addition to our team.
Beyond her professional skills, Katrina cherishes time with her family and grandchildren, loves exploring new places, and enjoys diverse culinary experiences and wines.

Bookkeeper | Budget Pro
Donna has been with us since 2020 and comes with the knowledge of 30 years of banking and lending.
Donna’s role at The Vault is working with our Micro clients and allowing them to focus on what they do best.
You can find Donna in her spare time enjoying a walk, being with family or travelling in their motorhome.
Trainee Bookkeeper
Josie is our newest trainee, starting in early June 2023.
Previously working as an early childcare educator and within the management team.
She loves a schedule and has an eye for detail and consistency.
Josie has a beautiful little girl and also a dachshund called Duke.
